Quick Check-In!!!

After lunch on our way back to Saline - 10/18/24

Hi everyone! I'm in the middle of creating a much more detailed blog post but it has come to my attention (thank you, Geof) that, last I posted, we were headed up a curvy, scary, technically closed road in the mountains with about a 20' drop off - to a river - on one side. That was about 20 hours ago and no one (except our spouses, mamas, kiddos, and Brandon!) have heard from us since! It definitely was an adventure! And we'll get into that in the next post, but we wanted you to know that....

 

❤ WE'RE GOOD!!! ❤

We didn't complete our final mission until about 8:30 last night and still had to have dinner and debrief with the Mountain Rescue NC Team before the drive back to our hotel. So we didn't get back to the hotel until close to 1am and then crashed!

I did update on Facebook before I went to sleep last night, but I know not all blog followers (ahem...Geof) are on Facebook. 

I have so much to say and so many photos to share, I don't want to rush through it. You may be thinking "You've been on the road for almost 8 hours, how have you not had time to post an updated blog post?!"...well, same reason I didn't blog much on the way down. Team RamRod (the vehicle I'm in) is way too entertaining for me to concentrate on any work, blogs, or socials! 

I plan to have a good post up before we get home though!

Current ETA is about 8:15pm.
