1:08pm
We’ve unloaded all of our supplies, except a couple pallets of bottled water and some generators, chainsaws, shovels, rakes, etc., that we’ll need throughout our day.

Thank you so much to Kameron & Graycee for offering up their home/shop and business for our delivery! And for all the help unloading!
We’re stopping to drop off the bottled water and then headed up the mountain to meet some families and deliver generators, camping supplies, and blankets/quilts.
Kristy brought a bag of new squishmallows and stuffed animals and she was so hoping to be able to give them to some kiddos - sounds like there will be kids where we’re headed. ♥️

Here are a few more pics from the day so far:

Huge shout out to Bob and Jamie - it wasn’t always a fun drive with the semi but we couldn’t have brought NEARLY the supplies without Bogie’s semi, Bo Trout allowing us to use it, Bob driving it, or Jamie co-piloting. Safe travels back, guys!
Service is getting spotty. Thank you, Michigan, and thank you to Mountain Rescue NC. Jennifer (of Mountain Rescue NC) told us a story today of how she and her crew found a bible in a creek bed, while doing clean up. It belonged to an 8 year old boy. Jennifer’s husband is a Trooper, so she told him to find him and return his bible. They couldn’t return it because the boy had drowned. 😢💔

The hard part starts now. ♥️

Oh man. The little boy and his Bible😢. My heart can’t handle it. Touched my heart to see time taken for a group prayer.
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches for the family of the little boy who drowned! 💔
